The silk route in Sikkim is one of the most popular tourist destinations located in East Sikkim. Zuluk was once an important stop for the ancient silk route in today's date Silk route is known for its serine clear and gorgeous view of mountains and beautiful Zig-Zag roads. The best time to visit East Sikkim or Silk Route is in the spring season between March and May, when the weather is pleasant and the entire valley is filled with Rhododendrons flowers.

The most famous attraction of Zuluk is the zig-zag hilly paths and the mesmerizing beauty of Thambi View Point followed by Nathang valley, Aritar Lake, and Qukhola waterfalls leave tourists amazed. Nag Temple, an immaculate and extraordinary sanctuary, which is devoted to Nag Devta (Snake God), is an attractive spot to visit. The best time t visit Zuluk is in the summer season between mid-April to mid-June.

Nathang Valley

Nathang valley which is also known as the Ladhak of the east, Nathang valley is one of the best places to explore on the old silk route. You can stay at least for one day you can visit the famous Eagle Nest Bunker which is abandoned from here you can witness the 360 views of the Chinese range. The best time to visit this place is from mid-March to mid-May.

Tsomgo Lake

Changu Lake / Tsomgo Lake

Changu Lake also known as Tsomgo Lake is a glacier lake located at the altitude of 12,400 ft above sea level. Tsomgo means the source of water in the Bhutia language, The lake changes its color three times in a season during the winter the lake freezes and creates a different view, and during the time of spring all flowers bloom in its surroundings and the color reflects on the lake water.

Thambi viewpoint

Thambi Viewpoint

At 11200 feet above, the Thambi viewpoint offers a stunning 360 view of Mt Kanchenjunga located at a distance of 14 km from Zuluk the zig-zag roads paves their way to the Thambi viewpoint. The name view was named after the engineers who construct the road. On a clear sunny, you can also witness a glimpse of Zig-Zag road down from Zuluk.

Aritar Lake is another great attraction in east Sikkim the Lake is surrounded by lush green forest and the main attraction of the Lake is its boating facilities the pathways are constructed around the lake which is perfect for clicking a picture. You can also visit the Mankhim Rai Temple and take a look at the view of the valley and lake.

Buddha Falls which is 40 feet high situated in a place called Rolep in East Sikkim with the perennial river Shokay Khola. Buddha waterfall is immensely beautiful and it is also the source of drinking water in the area. The waterfall is perfect for photographs and videos.

Rishikhola is one of the offbeat destinations located on the Sikkim border in the Kalimpong region of West Bengal. The River is 36km from Kalimpong town the meandering river is surrounded by lush green forest and it is the best place for adventure camping, fishing, outdoor picnic, etc. The best time to visit this place is from April to mid-May and during the first half of the year and for the second half of the year, you can visit from October to January.

Mulkharka is a small Lake tucked in the remote corner of forest situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in West Bengal. The lake is known for its calm and pleasant atmosphere the locals worship the lake once a year. The most attractive thing about this lake is the water reflects the reflection of Mt Kanchenjunga. The Lake is sacred to locals.
